Katherine Bramhall practices homebirth midwifery care out of her Vermont home office. She blends her philosophy of kindness and acceptance with her depth of knowledge and life experience to provide gentle, peaceful and safe homebirth midwifery care.
Prior to working as a homebirth midwife, Katherine worked for 20 years as a holistic and Polarity practitioner in the Boston area working with entire family systems while raising her 2 children born 13 months apart (#2 a VBAC). During that time she also worked doing professional labor support before the word ‘doula’ was ever coined.
In 2004, in response to the Bam, Iran earthquake, Katherine began her intensive 8 years of disaster relief work, focusing on midwifery care in under-served areas along with the long-term effects of trauma on family systems. Her relief work has taken her to Russia, Aceh, New York City, post-Katrina Louisiana Bali and Haiti. She is founder and President of Bumi Sehat Foundation International in the US. Katherine has developed and serves as the Director/organizer of the student midwife program at the Bali, Indonesia Bumi Sehat Birth clinic. She travels to Bali each year as a volunteer midwife, fundraiser and a US liaison to Bumi Sehat, Bali.
Katherine has 2 beautiful, grown daughters and is looking forward to their birth journey. She practices the religion of kindness

Erin Ryan, CPM, LM, is a midwife, mother and educator. She is devoted to supporting student midwives on their path. Currently, she is living in Bali working with Robin Lim and the staff at the Bumi Sehat Birth clinic.
Erin's journey into midwifery began as a child while playing pioneers and delivering all of her friend's babies! Her passion for birth was rekindled when studying abroad in England researching and writing about midwifery. Upon her return to the US she graduated from UC Berkeley, began attending births as a doula and soon started a midwifery apprenticeship in San Francisco. In 2000, she graduated from the National Midwifery Institute. She opened a private homebirth practice in 2001 when in Vermont. She currently teaches for 2 midwifery schools and works as a preceptor at Bumi Sehat in Bali. She has had the pleasure of educating medical students, legislators and college students, to mention a few. Always curious about ways to expand her knowledge, Erin continues studying various healing modalities such as hypnotherapy, yoga, Chinese medicine, and herbs, integrating them into her life, her practice and her work with students.
Erin has studied with many teachers; she says her greatest teachers are her 3 sons, all born at home with midwives. She and her husband homeschool their boys while adventuring around the world.
